Editorial policy
Veda publishes educational guides about visible health signals. Our goal is simple and consistent: explain what a change usually means, calm the common myths, and be clear about the few signs that genuinely warrant a doctor. This page explains how we work.
How we research and write
Every guide starts from primary clinical sources, such as the Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, Harvard Health, the American Academy of Dermatology and peer-reviewed research. We write for a person trying to understand a symptom, not for a search engine, and we cite the sources we relied on at the foot of each guide.
Medical review
Health content is reviewed by a qualified clinician before publication. You can read more about that process on our medical review process page. A guide that has not yet completed review is labelled as such and is not presented as reviewed.
Accuracy and updates
We show the date each guide was published and last updated, and we revise guides as guidance changes. If you spot something that looks wrong, we want to hear about it so we can check and correct it.
Not medical advice
Our guides are for general education and awareness. They do not diagnose or treat any condition and do not replace a consultation with a qualified clinician. If a symptom worries you, please see a doctor.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial arrangement. Where a guide links to our own self-check tool, that is clearly a product feature and never a substitute for professional care.
